Q + A

How should I RSVP and when do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP though the form on this site. If you have trouble, you can call or text us directly to confirm your RSVP. We are asking for responses by March 30, because our hotel will release all unclaimed rooms on that date, and we'd like to ensure everyone books there before it's too late! Please let us know if this is going to be a problem for you.

Am I allowed to bring a plus 1/guest?

If "and guest" or your plus-one's name is written on your wedding invitation, you can bring the person listed. Because of limited venue space and budget, we unfortunately can't accommodate plus-ones beyond those named on the wedding invitation. We also want to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, so we're only inviting our closest loved ones. Thank you for understanding!

Can I/we bring our children to the wedding?

We LOVE your children, but due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate them on our wedding day unless we've already spoken with you. We appreciate your understanding.

How do we get to the venue? Is there parking?

Please read the Travel page here on the website thoroughly. Yes the resort has parking whether you are staying there or not!

Are there accommodations and how do we book them?

Please read the travel page here on the wedding website thoroughly for all information. Feel free to reach out directly if you have any questions.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The entire wedding will be outdoors! The ceremony is on the lawn, and the reception will be on the deck of the restaurant. It is outside, but tented with heaters.

What will the weather be like?

Chilly! Although it will be May 31 and spring will be in full bloom in sunny California, the resort is in the mountains. It can get very cold at night! Anything can happen in the mountains, but we expect low 60s during the day, dropping to the 50s in the evening, and near freezing over night! Pack and dress appropriately. Also keep an eye on the weather as it gets closer, since it could end up being beautifully warm or snowing - you never know with climate change and mother nature!

What is the dress code?

Formal, evening wear. Think dresses, elegant pant suits, fancy skirts, dress shirts, dress pants, blazers, and suits. For shoes, the ceremony is on the grass and reception on a deck. If you are staying at the property, you may be walking on gravel, dirt, paths, so choose something stable and comfortable. Please avoid wearing white, or any of our wedding party colors - champagne/rose gold and rust/copper. If you are attending the welcome dinner, more casual cocktail attire is great. And for the farewell brunch, completely casual!

What is the agenda for the day/weekend?

You'll find more information on the Wedding Weekend page!

What type of food will you be serving?

For Friday's welcome dinner, we will have an Italian pasta buffet. For the wedding on Saturday, we'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner buffet with a selection of chicken, fish, and vegetarian entrees, plus salads/sides and dessert. If you are around for the farewell brunch and/or eating other meals throughout the weekend, the hotel has a restaurant onsite called Eagle's Landing Restaurant.

What else is there to do onsite or in the area?

The Double Eagle Resort has a full restaurant and bar, a beautiful spa with services and an indoor pool and jacuzzi (Creekside Spa), a fitness center, and various walking trails and nearby ponds. The town of June Lake and surround area has a beautiful lake, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing (if the season is long), and a small downtown area with restaurants, a brewery, and a few shops.
